Karen – Church Ministries Coordinator
Karen is responsible for the administration of the church office including the upkeep of registers and databases as well as being a gifted graphic designer.
Karen is the first port of call when contacting BBC. She will answer or direct any enquiry to its correct destination so as to ensure smooth running of the church.

Phil joined Beverley Baptist Church in June 2015. He works part-time as Minister for the church alongside studying at St Barnabas Theological Centre in Sheffield. Phil is married and he has two young children.

John is now enjoying retirement having moved to Beverley to work as a Clinical Statistician for a Hull-based pharmaceutical company. He became a Christian in his late teens and he and his wife have been involved in several different churches in the places in which they have lived over the years.
With three grown-up children and four grand-children, John enjoys hill and coast walks, classical music and being with the family.
Steph Tongeman – Charity Secretary and Leadership Team Member
Steph has recently changed her career path and is studying a theological course at St Barnabas Theological Centre in Sheffield amidst helping in local schools and working in the family’s software development business.
A keen runner, cyclist and a keeper of snakes, Steph is married and she has two teenage daughters.
Chris Peach – Charity Treasurer and Leadership Team Member
Chris has been a Christian since 1992 and a member of Beverley Baptist Church since that date. He moved from the midlands to this community a little while before that to pursue his career as a Town Planner for the local authorities.
A keen runner, cyclist, the church’s resident roadie and our principle sound guy, Chris is married and he has two teenage daughters.
Stephen Newton – Interim Treasurer
Stephen has been at BBC for nearly 17 years. He is married, has two young children and, until mid-2017, had been a church leader and the Treasurer for many years.
Stephen has temporarily taken on the day-to-day role of the Treasurer until Chris’s return to fitness in 2018.
As an IT trainer and consultant, Stephen ensures BBC’s IT and administrative needs are met, that processes are devised for our activities and he is keen to promote the continued development of the fellowship.
