The rehearsal schedule for crowd members (i.e. non-named parts) for the Passion Play is as follows.

• 11th March
• 18th March
• 25th March

All rehearsals will take place at 3:00pm on a Sunday afternoon at the Minster Rooms.
On the first of April the cast and crowd will practice the walk through in the Town Centre.
Put the dates in your diary and plan to be there and to be part of this amazing witness.

Only 9 weeks left to pray for this event

• Let’s thank Him for the opportunity Christians in Beverley will have to present to the public in a graphic way the facts of Christ’s Passion.
• Please ask for more people to volunteer to help – we still need more actors for the crowd scenes, more technical helpers, and stewards to keep an eye on safety issues.
• Ask God to mould the key participants into a real team, working together with one heart and mind, and especially to give real inspiration to Sandra King who has taken over as artistic director this year.
• And finally may God’s Spirit touch the hearts of many people in Beverley and enable them to see the wonderful and redeeming love of Christ.

from the Contemplative to the Charismatic and everything in between!

Many thanks to everyone who generously baked cakes and buns for last Sunday’s Compassion BUNday, and to everyone who equally generously bought them again! Together we raised a massive £85!! Every single penny of that money will go to support Dutdao Patcharasangtaweelert, the beautiful 8 year old girl from Thailand sponsored by the Youth and Children in our church. To put that sum of money into perspective – £85 will pay for her to attend school, and for her whole family to receive medical and dental care, together with any other support that they need for a whole four months!! You have totally blessed that lovely family, in Jesus’ Name!! Thank you so much!! ADAM

We hope that you’ve all recovered from the excitement of fresh on the 8th January when Dr John Sentamu wowed uswith his explanations of who Jesus is and what he means today.

Now it’s time for our next event on the 12th February:: “Science &Faith – friends or foes”

Science is quickly unravelling just how the world and the universe work, so can westill believe in God – are science and faith friends, or are they foes? We are lucky to have two local experts comingto talk to us who can answer this question; David Butterfield is the Archdeaconfor East Yorkshire, and Dr Bob Duerden has spent most of his life teachingScience and RE in East Yorkshire.”

The event starts at6:30pm, but we are reminding people to come early to get a place as we’ve hadto turn people away at the last two events because we were full.

Asusual there will be a quiz and the opportunity to chat and relax over a cup ofcoffee.

Next Sunday is Compassion BUNday!! Members of the BBC Youth will be running a cake and bun stall after church to raise money for their sponsored child Dutdao. All offers of cake/muffin/bun baking much appreciated! Please let Adam know. CompassionUK have been really inspired by this idea by members of our Youth and are going to do a feature, together with arty photos, on their website!!
