trypraying Campaign Easter 2016

Trypraying Inter-Church Campaign – Easter 2016
We are launching a co-ordinated Trypraying campaign in Hull and the East Riding, hoping to involve as many churches and organisations in the area as possible. You are invited to an information/introductory gathering on:
Tuesday EVENING: 29th September 2015 at 7.30pm, at Latimer Congregational Church Hall,
Grovehill Road, Beverley, HU17 0JD. Refreshments will be provided.
or
Wednesday LUNCHTIME: 30th September 2015 at 12.30pm at Jubilee Central Church,
62 King Edward Street, Hull, HU1 3SQ. A light lunch will be provided.
Trypraying will be familiar to many of you as a valuable outreach resource both as a booklet and an app; see www.trypraying.co.uk. Its simplicity means that it has the potential to engage those who “don’t do church and aren’t religious” and introduce them to Jesus.*
Trypraying has grown in the last 3 years from individual use, to church projects, then city-wide co-ordinated campaigns and is about to become a national movement for Easter 2016. We want Hull and the East Riding to be part of this opportunity. You can see a video here: http://www.thereishope.co.uk/; and at: http://www.thereishope.co.uk/use-it-and-lose-it/ for more information. You can also learn more about the exciting, new phone/tablet app at: http://www.trypraying.co.uk/app/
Many of you will remember David Hill, who created this resource locally. David grew up in Hull and having become a Christian as a student, ran ‘There is Hope’ for many years. You can hear him introducing Trypraying as he tells his own story here.
The aims of the meetings on 29th and 30th September are to:
(a) share the vision about Trypraying and tell stories of the changed lives which bring Trypraying to life. David will be on hand to give examples from across the UK and to answer your questions.
(b) dream and plan a vision of Trypraying in Hull and the East Riding, with as many churches as possible involved in a co-ordinated campaign linked to the national initiative for Easter 2016.
(c) share ideas about how it could work: display boards, banners, social media and bus adverts have all been used elsewhere.
(d) PRAY!
